It is with a sad heart that we introduce you to our daughter, Janell Victory, who will grow in our hearts but not in our arms.
January 1st, 2005 I designed and released a website dedicated to our sweet daughter. I wanted the world to know of Janell, not only because I am proud to have her as a daughter but also so others will cherish what they have, now and always. In one and a half years her site received almost 17,000 visitors. Now I have rebuilt her site so more people can be touched by her short life, just like we have been.
A child that loses a parent is an orphan.
A woman who loses her husband is a widow.
A man who loses his wife is a widower.
There is no name for a parent that loses a child, for there is no word to describe this pain.

As long as we remember, they are never truly lost.
Many other causes of child death have had public and media attention thus, research and funding pertaining to them have been a part of the federal and state systems for decades. However, the number of documented stillbirths is roughly equal to that of all child deaths during the first year of life. These numbers have gone virtually unnoticed and have been ignored as a public health problem. The MISSing Angels Bill and similar legislation have been enacted in 13 states. Elizabeth and Ethan Allen have joined Kara and Hawk Jones to establish the MISSing Angels Bill in Washington State. Under this bill, when a ‘Certificate of Fetal Death’ is required, and the child was stillborn, parents will be offered the opportunity to receive a 'Certificate of Birth, Resulting in Stillbirth'. It is really that simple.
